The Climate Crisis poses such a major problem that the world’s only recource is to adopt a military response akin to the U.S. Marshall Plan to rebuild post-war Europe, Prince Charles has stated recently.
An advocate for green energy, the British royal said climate change was becoming a “comprehensive catastrophe” that will be worse than a natural disaster.
Scientists said the world is on course for catastrophic heating in the coming years unless governments take fast action to take the global economy off fossil fuels and protect and restore our biodiversity and other eco-systems.
Cities andtowns with a carbon footprint greater than the emissions of the US and organizations with a combined revenue of more than $11 trillion are now aiming net zero emissions by the end of this century.
The majority are also aiming for a carbon neutral economy by 2050, as part of a UN “Race to Zero” campaign in line with objectives by leading green energy think tanks.
Whether Prince Charles can illicit the support of government leaders remains to be seen, in any case the Royal will surely continue to sound the alarm for the climate crisis.
