As the effort to reduce single use plastic use gains momentum, many restaurants have switched from plastic straws to more environmentally friendly paper straws. Despite the obvious green benefits, this has drawn some ire from people that the paper softens with the liquid and the straws become unusable.
While most of us, thankfully, are happy to tolerate a slightly soggy straw in the effort to eliminate plastic waste, it is good to see that some companies are innovating with new, sustainable materials to deliver straws that last. And there is perhaps not stronger straw than one made from titanium.
