Air filters are a great way to clean the air in your home or office so that you can breathe easier and sleep better. With so many products on the market it is a bold claim from Briiv that they have the “most sustainable air filter in the world”. Thinking about this, most air filters are indeed made from plastic is is not easily recyclable, meaning that many will end their lives piling up in land fills. Meet Briiv. 100% renewable, Briiv is made from biodradable material.
So, Briiv gets our approval on the sustainability front. But how about function and design. Well, the design cannot be faulted. Air filters are usually not the most beautifully designed but we think you will agree that Briiv would not look out of place in any modern home or office. We think it looks more like a fashionable home speaker or assistant mixed with a Japanese house plant. How striking!
And speaking of home assistant, Briiv also is high tech, it is smart speaker compatible and can connect to your smartphone. The Briiv is beautiful, sustainable and high tech. The only caveat then, is the price. With an estimated retail price of £300, this is not cheap for an air filter.
The refills of moss, coconut, carbon and wool, which comprise the organic materials of the filter will also set you back £30 whereas a regular filter uses water. But we don’t think of Briiv as comparable to a standard air filter. It is 100% sustainable. It is a design beauty and it is high tech, too.
