1. Kilker Electric Scooters – move over Bird & Lime!

An environmentally friendly electric scooter has launched via Kickstarter this week in the form of the Kilker created by a design team based in Spain. The electric scooter combines technology, sustainability, design and high-quality materials and is now available via Kickstarter at discount prices. Kilker’s e-scooters are made from the high quality materials such as carbon steel, beech wood, shimano brakes, aluminium, schwalbe tires and more.

Backer early bird pledges are now available for the interesting project from roughly $1149 or £856, offering a considerable discount of approximately 40% off the final retail price, while the crowd funding campaign is under way. If the Kilker electric scooter Kickstarter campaign is successful and production progresses smoothly, worldwide shipping is expected to take place sometime around summer 2023. 2. GOMI – an audio speaker made from waste?!

We all know how much plastic is wasted going in to all these endless electronic devices that just get thrown away after a few years.

Enter GOMI – an audio speaker made from, yes, trash!

The Gomi Speaker, as it’s simply called, is going on sale on Kickstarter at a price of £99 ($138). It will be available in four colors — green, black, blue and a color called “birthday cake.” Other features of the Gomi Speaker are pretty standard, like USB-C charging and the ability to play two speakers in stereo using Bluetooth. It has a 25W neodymium driver inside that Gomi says can deliver loud, refined sound quality.

“The sound quality and 20 hour battery life make the speakers perfect for indoors or outdoors and they come with a ‘repairs-for-life’ return service to ensure they never need to be thrown away unnecessarily,” Gomi says. The company says the speaker is made from 100 percent recycled plastic waste.
